The Hayrack Gallery is owned by partners Robert C. Wallis and Cherry Last.
We have spent the past few years bringing together a unique collection of quality Arts & Crafts, produced by artists and craftspeople who have become our friends as well as suppliers. This has enabled both Cherry and I to get to know everyone and be able to have a greater insight into how they produce their work and why. Doing this has made the gallery and the work we stock much more personal for us than if we simply brought in work from major suppliers anonymously. We hope that our love of what we have and what we do will inspire you to want to visit us, and perhaps even own a uniquely crafted piece from one or more of our very talented artists.
The majority of the work we stock is individually produced by the artists themselves, many pieces are unique ‘one-offs’, many more are limited in numbers to be produced. This ensures that work purchased from us will not be found in stores and galleries everywhere, each item can become a real focus and conversation piece in your home or for you to wear. Something unique, something different.
We recognise that there are many people who would love to own a unique piece of art but think it will be out of their price range. With this in mind, we have chosen a range of work which offers quality items to suit all pockets. From a small inexpensive gift under £5, to an original painting, a piece of pottery or glassware at over £300, with plenty of interesting and beautiful arts, crafts and gifts at prices in-between.
To compliment the work we have set the gallery in a beautiful location in rural Northamptonshire, a relaxed place housed in a complex of eighteenth century farm buildings. You will have time to browse at length and get a feel for the ranges we have on display, you can enjoy the setting and even have time for coffee and homemade cakes in the farm restaurant. What more could art and craft lovers want?
We hope you will like the selections we have on the website, and look forward to meeting those of you who come to visit us at the Hayrack Gallery. We are open daily from 10am until 5pm, if you intend travelling any distance please telephone in advance to ensure we will be here to meet you.
