Raymond Mitchell has been capturing the beauty of the English landscape for many years.
From the studio in his home village of Ling in Northamptonshire, he has produced his finished paintings from the sketches made on his travels around the centre of England, and his other love, the Lake District.
Raymond is a self taught artist, he describes his style as traditional watercolour sketches. He prefers to capture the general feeling of his subjects rather than get involved at great lengths with intricate details.
However, when you look closely at his work there is a surprising ammount of detail in his work. Raymond's style still remains free and loose and atmospheric.
