Contemporary Landscape and Still Life Photography.
Neil developed a keen power of observation of nature during over 30 years as a microbiologist developing vaccines and diagnostics to prevent animal diseases. His interest in natural observation also expressed itself through the hobby of photography, begun as many years ago using a Zenit EM 35mm film camera. Eventually the draw of the hobby overcame the early profession and he switched to full time photography.
Being in the right place at the right time and sensing what level is needed to interact with the subject to achieve the best pictures is the key to how he has produced beautiful images whether for the living room wall, gallery or wedding and portrait albums. This means getting the right blend of friendliness and quietness - to interact but at the quietest level to get the picture.
