An exhibition of Northamptonshire artists, held in conjunction with the newly refurbished display facility in the Barn Restaurant here at the Old Dairy Farm Centre at Upper Stowe.
We aim to feature a sample of our artists, with a mixture of original paintings and limited edition prints and photography.
The current exhibition has work from;
Alison Read, Graham Gallagher, Paul James, Raymond Mitchell, Richard & Linda Thornton, Rachel Dixon, Zoritza Williams and others.
The pictures below were taken at the launch preview evening of our inaugural spring exhibition in 2006.
All exhibits are available for purchase through the restaurant or the gallery.
We expect the exhibits to change on a regular basis throughout 2012, the emphasis will continue to be on work from local artists.
The Barn Restaurant is open daily between 10am - 5pm, bookings can be arranged by telephoning 01327 349911.
Hayrack Gallery Expansion
We are delighted to announce that we have now been in our new larger gallery premises for just over seven years.
We only moved a few yards across the green, but we now have a much better opportunity to display the fabulous range of Arts & Crafts in our new surroundings.
Although we were sad to leave our original hayrack behind, the new building is of the same period and still retains some of the original characteristics that we love.
We will continue to offer quality and value. Our current artists all feature in the new gallery, many with an extended range of products. Cherry and I, will also be on the lookout for new artists and new ranges to compliment our current Arts & Crafts.
We hope you will come and see us in our new home. The gallery is open daily 10am - 5pm (4.30 in January & February).
New Ranges for 2011
We are pleased to announce that we have added both new artists and new products from our existing artists during 2012. We will be adding new pieces and artists as we go through 2011 to continue expanding our ranges.
We have a new range of turned wooden pens which include both fountain and rollerball pens, from Northamptonshire woodturner Alistair Duncan.
A new range of pendants, earrings & bracelets from Northampton jewellery maker Sarah Samuels. Her ranges use Haematite, various semi-precious stones & Swarowski crystals.
Three new photographers, wildlife enthusiast Gary Baxter & husband and wife Richard & Linda Thornton who have a wide portfolio including landscape, canal and aviation. We have two new glass artists, Ruth Lyne who has her studio here at the centre, and Joanne Taylor from Cheshire. Both work with slumping and fusing techniques, but both produce very individual work.
We also have new ranges from many of our artists including; Wayne Glover from Leicestershire, a craftsman who works using reclaimed wood to produce clocks, mirrors and quirky pieces of furniture.
Lynne Lane from Buckinghamshire, produces beautiful dichroic glass pendants and earrings in a range of fabulous colours.
Mary Standing from Northamptonshire, makes beautiful enamelled copper jewellery in a variety of designs and themes.
Stephanie Beasley from Northamptonshire, makes contemporary hand built ceramic clocks, vases, wall hangings and coasters in a variety of themes and designs.
Dianne Fox produces a range of brightly coloured wall plaques & jewellery made from papier mache.
We will also have many more arts, crafts & unique gifts to tempt you arriving over the next few weeks.
Cherry and I have continued to choose work which will expand the ranges we have on offer in the gallery.
It is not possible to include everything we have at the gallery on our website, although we will always try to show as comprehensive a selection as possible.
If you would like to visit us at the gallery you will always be made very welcome, and you will be able to see our current ranges and discuss what else we may have planned for the future.
